Des Moines International Airport Parking Garage Expansion

To meet the growing needs of the Des Moines International Airport, The Weitz Company is erecting a new parking garage which will connect to the existing parking facility. Construction began in the Spring of 2023 and is expected to last until the Spring of 2025. The garage includes over 1,122 new parking stalls and will connect to the New Terminal (being built by Joint Venture Weitz/Turner) through a pedestrian walkway once complete. The ramp is a cast-in-place post-tensioned concrete structure. The ramp adjacent to the new garage will remain open and fully operational during construction.
