Critical Facilities

From data centers to military facilities, we consistently deliver projects that provide security and reliability to a diverse group of clients needing custom solutions to guarantee functionality and data access 7×24.

Weitz is currently constructing multiple, large-scale, colocation data centers in the United States that exceed 100 megawatts.

Power

We have extensive experience building gas-fired, coal-fired and co-generation projects all over the world. Our global construction experts have built some of the largest and most advanced power generating facilities.

The world’s two largest, gas-fired, combined cycle power plants (4,800 megawatts each) were constructed in Egypt by Orascom Construction as an EPC consortium with Siemens.

Petrochemicals

Weitz participated in building two landmark, petrochemical projects in the United States – the first world-scale fertilizer plant built in the U.S. since the late 1980s and the largest methanol plant in North America.

Our team’s experience includes olefins projects such as Ethylene Oxide/Ethylene Glycol (EO/EG), PDH and Polyethylene, as well as the specialty gas market.

Transportation

Leveraging our technical expertise and global resources, we excel in public and private infrastructure projects that upgrade transportation networks to meet the growing demands and expectations of businesses and travelers worldwide.

Weitz is involved in three significant design-build aviation projects in the U.S. – the new terminal at Kansas City International, PHX Sky Train guideway extension in Phoenix and SFO Superbay Group I Aircraft Hangar in San Francisco.

“The combined cycle, gas-fired New Capital Power Plant in Cairo, Egypt, has 8 gas turbines, 4 steam turbines and 12 generators. It required 235,431 cubic yards of concrete; 2,460,630 yards of cable; 150,000 tons of equipment; and 20,000 tons of steel.”
