Completed February 2023
The new terminal replaced Kansas City’s original three-terminal configuration with a modern facility featuring 39 gates across two concourses and future expansion capacity. As the largest infrastructure project in the city’s history, it required extensive coordination and phased execution within an active airport environment.
Completed: DEN Sunset Loop Spring 2025 | Mile High Game Day Fall 2025
At one of the world’s busiest airports, Weitz has delivered retail and dining projects, including Sunset Loop Bar & Grill, a grab-and-go market, Starbucks renovations, and the new Mile High Game Day concept. These projects highlight Weitz’s ability to complete tenant improvements in high-traffic environments while maintaining airport operations.
Groundbreaking: September 2025 | Estimated Completion: Spring 2027
To support continued passenger growth, Sioux Falls Regional Airport is expanding its concourse with nearly 70,000 square feet of new space, five additional gates, passenger boarding bridges, expanded concessions, family-focused amenities, and upgraded passenger services. The project demonstrates how regional airports can increase capacity while enhancing the traveler experience.
Estimated Completion: Phase 1A/1B West Early 2027, Phase 1B East May 2028
The new terminal will transform the passenger experience through expanded ticketing and security areas, advanced baggage handling systems, improved concessions, and enhanced connectivity throughout the facility. Future phases will expand the airport from five to eleven boarding gates, supporting long-term growth for the region.
Estimated Completion: Fall 2029
Weitz is leading the modernization of Terminal 4’s baggage handling systems, replacing critical infrastructure that has supported airport operations for decades. While largely unseen by passengers, the program improves system reliability, security, and long-term operational efficiency.
