Sioux Falls Regional Airport Concourse Expansion
Sioux Falls, South DakotaSioux Falls Regional Airport (FSD) is a small-hub primary airport located two miles north of downtown and three miles southeast of the junction of Interstate 29 and Interstate 90. The existing terminal, built in 1968, has undergone several incremental improvements to address evolving industry standards and passenger demand. The airport has experienced significant passenger growth requiring further terminal expansion. In order to secure the project, a base bid with three additional alternate bid items were required.
The Concourse Expansion project at FSD will cover around 70,000 square feet and add five new gates, along with holdrooms and corresponding passenger boarding bridges. In addition to the gate capacity needs, the airport is also expanding their passenger amenities including larger restrooms, family restrooms with an adult changing station, an integrated mother’s room, and a reorientation and expansion of the concessions offerings.
