The Weitz Company Welcomes Ruben Bravo as Business Development Director in Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Fort Lauderdale, Florida – The Weitz Company is pleased to welcome Ruben Bravo to his new role as Business Development Director for the company’s Fort Lauderdale office. With over two decades of experience paired with a strong international perspective, Ruben is positioned to lead an exciting new chapter of growth in South Florida.
Ruben began his career in the construction industry in Chile, working as a Construction Analyst. From there, his career progressed through various roles in the United States, including Project Engineer, Project Manager, Project Executive, and Business Development Manager.
In his current role as Director of Business Development at Weitz, Ruben will grow relationships and increase the company’s presence across the South Florida market. He will focus on multiple segments including commercial, aviation, higher education and government, with an emphasis on client relationships built on honesty and a personal touch. To Ruben, authenticity is the cornerstone of every successful client interaction.

Ruben graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, where he earned his Bachelor’s in Civil Construction Technology and his Master’s in Construction Administration. He then attended Florida International University in Miami, where he received his Master’s in Construction Management. Ruben is a LEED AP BD+C accredited by the United States Green Building Council and is a Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC) Designated Professional. He is in the Board of Directors for Broward Partnership for the Homeless and sits on the Construction Committee for Carrfour Supportive Housing.
