Southeast Community College Sandhills Global Technology Center

Weitz was selected as the building partner for the new IT technology facility on Southeast Community College’s (SCC) main campus. The four–story steel structure features an angled curtainwall, metal panel and brick enclosure. It includes robotics labs, technology labs, biomedical labs and construction drafting labs. All labs have hands on learning and the building itself was constructed with open aspects to utilize for learning opportunities.

Customer Advocacy- The team was excited each day to show our full arsenal of skills and processes that led to an amazing project. This led to an amazing project with a new client and design team. The team’s attitude, abilities, communication skills really resonated throughout the process. I know their proud of the efforts and results. 

Safety- The expectation was everyone went home in as good of condition as they came to work. This was achieved through following Weitz processes. Through communication daily, planning, accountability and enforcement, the team achieved this safety goal.
