Gregory & Suzie Glazer Burt Boys and Girls Club at Drake University

The Gregory & Suzie Glazer Burt Boys & Girls Club project is one of only two in the country, a non-profit constructing a stand-alone building on a college campus in partnership with Drake University. This two-story project includes a 21,000 SF building which houses a fitness center, education classrooms, game rooms, inclusive playground, and large gymnasium. Weitz worked hand-in-hand with both the Owners, Drake University and Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Iowa, to ensure as many of their predetermined ‘wish list’ items were met, which included blue polycarbonate siding in the gaming room and polished concrete in the main lobby. This project has earned two Green Globes designations.
