SDPBC Spanish River High School

Boca Raton, FL

The Weitz Company has completed three projects on the Spanish River High School campus. The first project that we completed on the occupied campus was constructing a new 3-story, 29,891 SF auditorium. The auditorium addition features a stage with full fly loft, sloped and stepped seating for 810 patrons, green rooms, dressing rooms and technical workshop area. An orchestra pit, sculpted ceilings, fixed cushioned seating, handicap accessible stage, put area for stage rigging, catwalk, spot platforms and state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems are also found in the theater.

Once the auditorium expansion was complete, our team constructed the 5,000 SF Teacher’s Academy, which included restrooms, a kitchen, office and storage room. The scope of work also included a new storage building and shade structure with new slabs for rubberized surface, and new plexi-paved surface for the tricycle track.

The final project Weitz completed on the Spanish River High School campus was the addition of the 1,500 SF press box.
