Des Moines International Airport Parking Garage Expansion

To meet the growing needs of the Des Moines International Airport, The Weitz Company has completed a new parking garage connected to the existing parking facility. Construction began in the Spring of 2023 and opened to the public in July 2025. The garage adds more than 1,100 new parking stalls and will link to the New Terminal (being built by Joint Venture Weitz | Turner) through a pedestrian walkway once the terminal is complete. The ramp is a cast-in-place post-tensioned concrete structure, and the adjacent ramp remained open and fully operational throughout construction, ensuring uninterrupted access for travelers.
