Broward County Family & Civil Courthouse

With our design and County Business Enterprise (CBE) partners, The Weitz Company served as owner’s representative to the Broward County Purchasing Division for the construction of a new, 21-story family and civil courthouse. Features include a raised civil plaza, landscaped park and outdoor children’s play area. The second floor includes connector walkways for prisoners, judges and other people moving between the courthouse and parking garage. The building features high-quality, high-efficiency mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems; multiple elevators; electronic court features with wi-fi throughout; and digitized Clerk of the Court Facilities.

Also included with the state-of-the-art, LEED Gold certified building is a six-level, 500-stall parking structure adjacent to the courthouse tower.
