SDPBC Wellington High School

Wellington, FL

In 1989, The Weitz Company constructed Wellington High School for the School District of Palm Beach County. The new 278,000 SF high school included six educational buildings that surrounded a large courtyard.

In 2007, we completed the expansion of the new 3-story, 31,218 SF auditorium. While construction for the auditorium was underway, our team remodeled the former auditorium into the 5,938 SF Veterinary Academy, which included two veterinary labs and a long distance computer learning lab center.

In 2009, we provided off-hour construction management services to complete the renovation of the fire alarm system on campus. Coordination with the fire department and school staff was an essential component allowing our team to complete the project on time and on budget without impacting the school’s daily functions.
