Construction has begun on a state-of-the-art grain terminal in Bowbells, N.D., for Pipeline Foods.

As the first supply chain solutions company in the United States to be exclusively focused on non-GMO and organic food and feed, this new grain terminal for Pipeline Foods is strategically located adjacent to the BNSF main line railway and US Highway 52 to allow for efficient rail and truck transport. The facility will be fully automated, compliant with Food Safety Modernization Act regulations and designed to receive, clean and blend organic crops to meet the most rigorous customer specifications and ensure transparency and traceability.

The Weitz Company will serve as the design-build contractor on the project. When completed in late summer 2018, the terminal will significantly advance Pipeline Foods’ infrastructure to support organic farmers in the company’s northern tier region of North Dakota and Saskatchewan, Canada.
