Three Weitz Senior Living Projects Receive National Awards

Three different senior living projects built by The Weitz Company have recently been honored with architecture and design awards.

The Hacienda at the River in Tucson, Ariz., has gained the most notoriety by claiming two accolades from Senior Housing News and its 2017 Architecture & Design contest, which had more than 80 communities nationwide submitted for consideration. The Springs won first place in the category of Skilled Nursing while Hacienda Homes was named runner-up in the Assisted Living Category.

Also recognized in the 2017 Senior Housing News Architecture & Design Awards contest was The Woodlands at John Knox Village in Pompano Beach, Fla. It was runner-up to The Springs at the Hacienda at the River in the Skilled Nursing category.

In Alexandria, Ky., The Seasons @ Alexandria received a Design for Aging Review Merit Award from The American Institute of Architects.
