The Weitz Company Breaks Ground on Southeast Polk’s New Middle School
The new school with provide 210,000 square feet of learning space for future 6th and 7th graders in the Southeast Polk District
ALTOONA, Iowa – The Weitz Company has broken ground for the new Southeast Polk Middle School.
On Saturday April 9th, employees from The Weitz Company, FRK Architects + Engineers, and members of the Southeast Polk Board and Administration gathered to officially break ground on the site. The new middle school will be built east of the Sam Wise Youth Complex.
Custom Southeast Polk hardhats and shovels were provided to participants to commemorate the event.
The new 210,000 square foot middle school will house 6th and 7th graders from the district. Construction will complete in June of 2024.
