Oppidan Data Center

This 60,000 square foot, 5-megawatt data center located in Des Moines, Iowa started in summer of 2023 and was completed in the summer of 2024. Oppidan is a long time developer that has just started dipping their toes in the data center world. They have plans to build several data centers all throughout the central region.

From the beginning, Jon Meister and several others began implementing our detailed preconstruction approach. Jon did an incredible job of building a relationship of trust with the client and our entire team really showcased the depth and level of detail we add as a general contractor. Because of the trusted relationship that was built, the client allowed Weitz to sole source the Des Moines project.
