Kravis Center 2020 Video Series (Lean Construction)

To fulfill the Kravis Center’s request to remain 100% operational during construction with only one performance season impacted by work, the utilization of Lean disciplines was going to be essential throughout the 18-month renovation and expansion project. A critical factor to success was integrating Lean into the design phase to get in the ground only 4 months after starting design. During the build, weekly work plans have benefited from a new scheduling tool that has elevated subcontractor coordination, which has ensured outstanding flow across the 11 phases of construction included in the project’s scope.
