Yampa Valley Regional Airport Takes Flight with Groundbreaking Ceremony 

A new chapter has begun as shovels hit the ground at Yampa Valley Regional Airport on Monday, June 8^th, in Hayden, CO. Routt County officials, members of The Weitz Company, and team members gathered to celebrate the start of a project that will bring expanded capacity and an enhanced travel experience for passengers throughout the region. 

Located in Hayden, CO, the Yampa Valley Regional Airport Terminal Expansion will include four new gates, new TSA baggage screening and handling system, dining and concessions, geothermal heating, boarding bridges, and updated conveyance systems. The airport is located just 25 miles from Steamboat Springs, and this project marks the largest in Routt County, CO history.
