The Breakers Palm Beach – HMF Dining

Palm Beach, FL

“Complete transformation” is the best way to describe this project inside the historic Breakers Resort in Palm Beach. The assignment was to remodel the resort’s Tapestry Bar, L’Escalier restaurant and Florentine Dining Room into a “young, hip and sexy” drinking and dining establishment to be named “HMF” in honor of the resort’s founder, Henry Morrison Flagler.

Renovation of the 11,500-square-foot space involved removing interior walls; building a display kitchen where no kitchen previously existed; constructing two new bars (one for cocktails and one for sushi); and installing new plumbing, wiring, sound and mechanical systems. It also involved safety funneling resort visitors and guests away from the construction zone and scheduling the work to minimize disruption of resort activities.
