Weitz Executive Chris Harrison Appointed to Greater Phoenix Chamber Board of Directors

The Weitz Company is proud to announce that executive vice president and general manager Chris Harrison has been appointed to the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce board of directors. The announcement was made early this month during the Chamber’s annual luncheon.

As the leader of The WeitzCompany’s Arizona office and national senior living and student housing product lines, Harrison provides leadership that drives effective and efficient delivery of projects. With 30 years of construction experience, he has held numerous positions within the organization and is known for his reliability and ability to ensure project success. Harrison holds two bachelor’s degrees from Iowa State University in construction engineering and civil engineering.

“We are excited to welcome Chris to the Chamber’s board of directors,” said Todd Sanders, president and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. “His 30 years of construction industry and management experience at The Weitz Company are major assets to our mission of growing the Greater Phoenix regional economy from within.”

The 2017-18 board of directors will continue to focus on growing the Greater Phoenix region economy from within through the efforts of Phoenix Forward, the Chamber’s collaborative economic development initiative. The board also provides insights and guidance to the Chamber’s work in public policy, growing the regional talent pool and supporting local businesses in countless ways.

Harrison will officially assume his duties at the start of the Chamber’s 2017-18 fiscal year on July 1.
