University of Denver Joy Burns Center

Denver, CO

The Joy Burns Center on the campus of the University of Denver was created not only as a learning facility but also a banquet/entertainment facility where students’ skills and talents can be put on display for Denver’s most influential people. Students learn hospitality skills such as cooking; properly plating and serving food; catering cost estimates; and hotel management.

The building boasts custom wine chillers; full-service commercial kitchens; training kitchens; and state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment in theatre-style classrooms – all of which allows the university to host catered parties that are fully run by the student body as part of their education process.
