Shane Bauer, Chief Operating Officer

Shane Bauer has served in leadership roles at Weitz since 1994 and was appointed Chief Operating Officer in July 2018.

As COO, Bauer oversees construction operations and the Company’s project-delivery performance from start to finish. His responsibilities include staffing strategy, project planning and execution, cost and schedule oversight, subcontractor and owner negotiation, and ensuring delivery of exceptional value and quality to clients.

“I love outdoor activities and always enjoy a good softball or flag-football game. I gave up amateur motocross racing, but I still like to ride some. And I also have a passion for water and snow skiing.”
