At The Weitz Company, we believe inclusion is more than just a week, it’s a mindset that shapes how we build, collaborate, and lead every day. Our involvement in Construction Inclusion Week 2025 reflects the core values Weitz operates by: Respect for People, Honesty and Integrity, Long-Term Perspective, Performance with Absolute Reliability, and Nurturing Personal Growth. These guide how we show up for one another in the company as well as for our partners, clients, and communities.

Key Pillars

This year’s Construction Inclusion Week focuses on four key pillars:

  • Commitment & Accountability
  • Attract & Retain
  • Belonging & Workplace Culture
  • Community Engagement

Each pillar represents a critical piece of how we continue to create a more inclusive industry.

Commitment & Accountability means every one of us takes responsibility for fostering inclusion. At Weitz, that starts with leadership and extends across every team member, ensuring that actions align with our values, from the jobsite to the boardroom.

Attract & Retain highlights the importance of building pathways for individuals of all backgrounds to join and succeed within the construction industry. We’re proud to support programs and partnerships that introduce students and emerging professionals to construction careers while developing meaningful opportunities for growth within our company.

Through Belonging & Workplace Culture, we create spaces where every voice is heard and respected. Our teams work hard to cultivate trust, collaboration, and shared purpose, recognizing that the best solutions come from various perspectives.

Finally, Community Engagement reinforces our belief that inclusion extends beyond our walls. Whether volunteering in local schools, supporting workforce development initiatives, or mentoring the next generation of builders, Weitz employees are committed to making a positive impact in the communities where we live and work.

As we wrap up Construction Inclusion Week, we reaffirm that inclusion isn’t a one-week initiative, it’s a daily journey. Together, we will continue to build stronger teams, projects, and an industry!
