People /

The Weitz Company works to engage students and professionals in recruitment efforts. We have active relationships with NSBEACE Mentoring, local school districts and many more organizations that help us connect with top diverse talent.

At Weitz, we work to make sure that from the office to the jobsite, everyone feels included. We show respect for people through cultural and industry observances like Women in Construction Week and Construction Inclusion Week.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council /

To advance its inclusion efforts, Weitz has deployed a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council with representation from each product line, including office and jobsite team members. While every Weitz employee is an ambassador of inclusion, the council works alongside Sr. DEI Associate and the executive committee to advance companywide inclusion goals.

Advancements Include:

  • Hiring a Sr. DEI Associate to lead inclusion efforts.
  • Participating in and supporting Construction Inclusion Week as an Ambassador level sponsor.
  • Participating in Women in Construction Week.
  • Providing training to every company employee on their important role in creating an inclusive environment on an annual basis.
  • Adding a host of important cultural observances and communications campaigns to help build awareness and understanding among our employee base.
  • Launching Weitz University, an educational program facilitated by company employees, which will expand contract opportunities and limit barriers for small and diverse businesses by providing knowledge and resources to help them grow and Win With Weitz.
  • Creating a mentoring program to help employees create meaningful connections within the company.
