Building the Infrastructure That Powers America
Across the country, energy demand is growing faster than ever. From data center campuses to industrial growth and next-generation hydrogen systems, facilities face an increasing pressure to modernize their infrastructure which is reshaping the power and energy landscape. At The Weitz Company, we help clients meet these challenges by delivering practical solutions across the power and energy sector. With Weitz Industrial’s strong commitment to safety, quality, and schedule certainty, teams support energy generation, transmission, and distribution to build the infrastructure that keeps communities and industries moving forward.
Power Infrastructure for Data Centers
As hyperscale data centers continue to expand, reliable power infrastructure has become one of the most critical elements of project success. These facilities demand massive electrical capacity, power systems, and precisely coordinated equipment installations to meet requirements. Weitz delivers power and energy construction services for data centers, including site preparation, civil work, heavy lift equipment settings, and system installations. Our teams have provided power infrastructure for large-scale data center campuses, including generators, transformers, and cooling systems. By applying disciplined procedures and industry‑leading standards, we ensure that every outcome is safe, reliable, and built to perform for the long-term.
Advancing Clean Energy Through a 100-MW HYPRPlant in Texas
Weitz is currently completing site preparation and installation of a 100-MW HYPRPlant at an eFuels facility in Texas, supporting what is expected to become the world’s largest commercial-scale eFuels production site. This project includes the installation of a hydrogen generation unit and related infrastructure that will feed a synthetic fuels facility producing aviation fuel, diesel, and naphtha for hard-to-abate transport sectors. Manufactured primarily in Texas and delivered as modular skids, the HYPRPlant solution reduces total installed costs by up to 60% and accelerates deployment timelines. Through disciplined execution and industrial self-perform capabilities, Weitz is helping deliver next-generation hydrogen infrastructure that supports the future of clean energy and sustainable fuels.
Self-Perform Heavy Lift & Generator Installation
A core differentiator for Weitz in the power and energy market is our extensive self-perform heavy lift and equipment-setting capabilities. At Weitz, we leverage this to maintain direct control over safety, quality, schedule, and cost, all while reducing execution risk. With strategic lift planning, engineered rigging solutions, and experienced field leadership, our teams ensure that critical power equipment is installed for long term performance. Weitz’s self-perform heavy lift capabilities allow us to execute precision installations of large generators, modular skids, and major equipment packages that are central to plant reliability and performance.
Power Generation Experience in Egypt
In addition to U.S.-based power and energy projects, Weitz brings global power generation experience through Orascom Construction, our parent company and a leader in EPC delivery for utility-scale energy projects. Orascom has constructed 11,250 MW of power generation capacity in Egypt, delivering large-scale infrastructure that supports national energy demand and grid reliability. This experience strengthens Weitz’s ability to support complex generation projects with global best practices. By pairing Weitz’s U.S. industrial strength with Orascom’s international experience, clients benefit from local delivery backed by global expertise across large-scale energy programs.
From large-scale data centers and hydrogen-based clean fuels to heavy lift generator installations and utility-scale power plants, the future of energy depends on infrastructure that is precise, reliable, and built to perform for decades to come. With industrial expertise, self-perform capabilities, and a proven track record across mission critical projects, The Weitz Company continues to support facilities as they modernize infrastructure and expand power and energy systems.
