Weitz is proud to announce that the Clark | Weitz | Clarkson joint venture earned five awards for the Kansas City International Airport New Terminal during DBIA’s 2025 National Design-Build Project Team Awards.

The five awards were announced during the Design Build Conference & Expo last month in Las Vegas, Nevada. Weitz was awarded National Project of the Year, National Award of Excellence – Aviation, National Award of Merit – Aviation, National Best in Practice – Progressive Design Build, and the National Trailblazer in Inclusive Growth Award.

The Design-Build Institute of America is the nation’s leading authority on the design-build delivery method, setting the standard for collaboration and innovation in the construction industry. The National Design-Build Project Team Awards are highly respected in the industry, recognizing projects that exemplify best practices and deliver exceptional results. Winning five DBIA awards is a remarkable achievement that showcases our work among other influential and impactful projects in the country.

Winning across multiple categories reflects the strength of our partnerships and the dedication of our teams. Our collaboration with Clark | Weitz | Clarkson as our joint venture partner and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill as the project architect exemplifies our commitment to pushing the boundaries of excellence in construction.

We are thrilled to be recognized among industry leaders for our role in this landmark project. After two and a half years since completion, the sense of achievement from this project remains as strong as ever.

Congratulations once again to our Weitz Aviation team and all involved in this incredible success!
