Steve Tyler Named Weitz’s General Counsel 

On April 1, 2023, Steve Tyler assumed the role of General Counsel for The Weitz Company. Steve has had a working relationship with Weitz for nearly two decades, and the Weitz team is thrilled to have him fulfill this role with the company. 

Steve has worked in the construction industry for the last three decades. In 1992, he began his career as a carpenter and eventually started his own remodeling business before attending Drake University Law School in 2003. Upon graduating, Steve joined the Whitfield & Eddy Law Firm in Des Moines where he spent nearly two decades specializing in construction law.
