New Construction Phase at 21 Fitzsimons Started in Colorado

October 4, 2018  /  News Blog,

We have broken ground to construct the next phase of 21 Fitzsimons – a multi-unit residential project in the Denver suburb of Aurora, Colo., for Apartment Investment and Management Company (Aimco).

This phase of construction will add 253 new and upscale apartments that will feature high-end finishes and smart home technology. The building will have five diverse “districts” that offer unique floorplans and customizable design elements that Aimco believes will meet the distinct needs of future residents and their families.

There will be 7,000 square feet of dedicated amenities in the new development, including a state of the art fitness center; clubroom lounge and kitchen; community room; coffee bar; study/library; bike storage; a leasing gallery; and business center. There will also be on-site retail.

Located at the intersection of 21st Avenue and Uvalda Street next to the Anschutz Medical Campus, the apartments will be built on the site of the former Fitzsimons Army Medical Center and will be in close proximity to the existing 600-unit community owned and operated by Aimco.

Denver-based Tryba Architects is the design architect for this phase of construction, which is expected to be completed in late 2020.
