Enso Village and The Weitz Company Complete Topping Off Ceremony For The Zen-Inspired Community in Sonoma County, California
Topping Off Ceremony offered future residents and workers on site a chance to celebrate progress on the project to date and marked the completion of the concrete structure on phase 1 of the project.
Healdsburg, CA – A topping off ceremony was held on July 27, 2022 at the construction site of Enso Village, a Zen-Inspired Community. This ceremony celebrated the completion and “topping off” of phase 1 of the concrete structure. As part of the ceremony, future residents of Enso Village were invited to sign the beam before it was raised on to the structure itself, adding a special significance to the event.
Rick Pusch, Superintendent, was available on site during the topping off ceremony to give tours to residents, and a special lunch was provided to the work crew and attendees of the ceremony.
The Weitz Company is excited to be a part of bringing the Enso Village Community to life and changing the landscape of what Senior Living can offer to their residents.

Located on 16 acres in Sonoma County, California, Enso Village will feature 221 independent living units, 30 assisted living units, and 24 memory care units. Amenities will include a variety of dining options, performance venue, fitness center, salon, Hydrotherapy spa, heated indoor pool, walking paths, and electric car charging stations. Residents will be invited to practice meditation in the centrally located meditation hall with Senior Zen Center practitioners, who will be in residence. Residents will also have access to classes, workshops, retreats, and the opportunity to garden and cook together.
Over 198,000 work hours have been completed on the project to date, with an estimated project completion scheduled in October 2023. There are 17 active trade partners working on the site in variety of disciplines, and so far the project has utilized 4 million pounds of rebar, 100,000 lineal feet of post-tension cable, and 22,946 cubic yards of concrete.
