Natgasoline is a world-scale, greenfield methanol production complex currently under construction in Beaumont, Texas. The plant is expected to have a capacity of up to approximately 1.75 million metric tons per year and will be one of the largest merchant methanol production facilities in the world.
Weitz is serving as the EPC contractor for the project, handling the installation of concrete, steel, piping, equipment and the underground contaminated sewer system. The majority of the equipment installed was fixed, including four pieces of rotating that Weitz conducted the alignment and the epoxy grout work.
The largest vessels set on the project were in excess of 750 tons (the heaviest being 900 tons).
