Market Expertise: Student Housing

As a business development manager, Emily supports Weitz’s national pursuit of student housing projects. She is responsible for cultivating relationships with developers and higher education institutions to understand their needs for the future and to offer construction solutions that fulfill them. Her diverse background in client relations, marketing and sales aids her overall ability to build teams and bring the right resources into projects that can provide unique customer experiences.

What makes Weitz such a great place to work?
The biggest thing I’ve noticed is how accessible everyone is, from field staff to the CEO. Employees are always happy to help ― be it for customers, team members or trade partners. That team mentality makes coming to work and working together really rewarding.

What is one thing everyone should know about The Weitz Company?
Weitz always has an eye on the future. It is a thoughtful company that is driven to perform better than the competition while putting the customer first. Weitz was founded on some solid core values and we live those out daily.

Something unique or interesting about me is …
I collect contemporary art, witch figurines and Gaetano Pesce bracelets. I also have made banana bread at least 500 times.

“The people of Weitz and the knowledge they possess is unparalleled.”
