Project Expertise /

Extensive History
Executing Work Globally

We work extensively with clients to understand their project needs from constructability through commissioning, including safety, quality and schedule expectations. Our team’s experience includes both greenfield and brownfield capital projects, as well as associated revamp/turnaround scope in highly technical markets.

No one understands the complexities of refining projects, major equipment and challenges of working within existing operating facilities while performing revamps and debottlenecks better than us.

Our refining project resumes include coker; sulfur plants; parraffinic lube; hydrocracker; Fluid Catalytic Cracking Units (FCCU); and nox reduction.

We participated in building two landmark petrochemical projects in the United States – the first world-scale fertilizer plant built in the U.S. since the late 1980s and the largest methanol plant in North America.

Our team’s experience includes olefins projects such as Ethylene Oxide/Ethylene Glycol (EO/EG), PDH and Polyethylene, as well as the specialty gas market.

We have extensive experience building gas fired, coal-fired and cogeneration projects all over the world. Our global construction experts have built some of the largest power generating facilities in the world.

The world’s two largest, gas-fired, combined cycle power plants (4,800 megawatts each) were constructed in Egypt by our parent company as an EPC consortium with Siemens.

Our mobile craft work force has the capability to build in remote locations ranging from the Eagle Ford to the Bakken.

We are very familiar with projects ranging from large gas plants to compressor stations.

“Weitz performed more than 90,000 man hours and nearly 1,400 welds with a rejection rate under 0.3 percent on two significant gas processing facility turnaround projects in Ozona, Texas, and Hobbs, New Mexico, for a major midstream client.”
