Post-Construction

From Groundbreaking to Ribbon-Cutting

Our commitment to client satisfaction doesn’t end when we hand you the keys to the building. Weitz sees this as just the beginning of an ongoing, long-term relationship. We provide our clients with a variety of tools to measure our progress throughout construction, as well as facilitate a smooth transition from project completion to building occupancy. Since more than 75 percent of our business is from repeat or referral clients, our reputation depends on your complete satisfaction.

Easy Access Electronic Files

Instead of thumbing through stacks of plans and cabinets full of files, Weitz provides our team members with searchable electronic storage systems. These efficient, time-saving systems provide all team members simultaneous access to information at any time – plus we save a few trees in the process.

Electronic Project Control System (e-PCS). We utilize e-PCS, an electronic storage system for all files and documents related to the project.

Project Control System (PCS). The PCS system helps organize project checklists, tracking charts, and scope definitions associated with the project. It allows the team to discuss and monitor important details throughout the course of preconstruction and construction.

Prolog Manager. This web-based program tracks nearly all phases of the project such as change orders, RFI’s, submittals, scheduling, and punch-list management. Prolog Manager interfaces with a Prolog website created specifically for each project, allowing the entire team to post and receive real-time information.

Electronic Construction Closeout (ECC). The ECC feature allows the project team to identify a subset of project folders to include on a final CD of critical building and equipment information for the building owner and facilities manager.

Testing and Commissioning

The Weitz Team works with our equipment suppliers and the building facilities manager to test all building equipment and systems to ensure they are functioning properly prior to building occupancy.
