Converted from a warehouse, this tenant improvement’s newly renovated space utilizes low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) products for all its finishes and primarily consists of two large classrooms, a conference/office room, lobby and break room and one large industrial training room. To accommodate the added load of the 30-ton rooftop AC unit, Weitz added additional structural support in the form of large glue-lam beams. The project also required extensive underground electrical work and the installation of a back-up UPS system. Thanks to Weitz’s efforts in recycled materials selection and indoor air quality, this project is currently pursuing LEED Gold Certification.
