Adjacent to a Natural Register Historic District, this complex to accommodate 217 employees includes 22 one- or two-story residential structures, four shared facilities and new utility systems such as a ground source heat pump thermal distribution system for heating and cooling, fire water, potable water, wastewater, sewage, propane gas, electrical power, data and communications. The buildings integrated numerous energy efficient features and sustainable building materials and were designed and constructed to minimize environmental impact and visual intrusiveness in a national park.
