In 1970, The Weitz Company was the original contractor on the corn processing plant and have had a presence on-site ever since. In the early 1980’s ADM shared its idea of building an alcohol facility with The Weitz Company. Concepts were discussed and the design-build project began to take shape on a piece of scratch paper.
For over 34 years The Weitz Company has been a partner with ADM, completing more than 75 design-build projects.
Projects generally involve re-design or new construction. A fast-track approach is used with these projects, which enables the team to begin work on foundations long before building design is complete.
