MBA students from the University of Salzburg, located in Salzburg, Austria recently visited the West Palm Beach office of The Weitz Company. The 17 graduate business students were part of an Intercultural Exchange Seminar sponsored by Palm Beach Atlantic University, West Palm Beach, Florida. The goal of the program is to show students from other countries how businesses function in the United States as well as to compare the different teaching methods used here and abroad. Jim Wells, vice president of The Weitz Company, helped the students explore the business side of the construction industry through discussions regarding preconstruction services such as estimating, scheduling and construction planning, as well as the benefits of virtual design and construction. The Weitz Company has built several projects for PBA University.
